A freight forwarder arranges cargo transport on behalf of exporters and importers, coordinating carriers, documentation, and customs clearance across multiple modes of transport and multiple countries. We act as your single point of contact — you deal with us, and we manage everything and everyone else along the supply chain. This includes booking rail or road freight, arranging customs declarations, managing transit documentation, and coordinating final mile delivery at destination.

Typical rail transit time is 14–20 days from major Chinese terminals (Chengdu, Xi'an, Chongqing) to European destinations (Duisburg, Łódź, Tilburg). This compares very favourably to sea freight, which typically takes 25–35 days for the same origin-destination pairs, while being significantly more cost-effective than air freight. The exact transit time depends on the specific origin and destination terminals, border crossing times, and any customs holds. Door-to-door transit (including collection and delivery) adds 2–5 days at each end.

What is T1 Union Transit?

T1 is a Customs Union External Transit procedure that allows non-EU goods (goods that have not yet paid import duties) to move through EU member states under bond without paying customs duties at each border crossing. The goods are placed under a customs guarantee at the point of entry and "discharged" only when they reach their final customs destination — either an import declaration in the destination country, or a bonded warehouse. This simplifies multi-country European distribution enormously: a shipment from Poland can transit Germany, Netherlands, Belgium, and France before final import in the UK, all under a single T1 declaration filed through the NCTS (New Computerised Transit System). We act as principal and hold the customs guarantee on behalf of our clients.

Yes. Customs management is a core part of our service offering. We manage full import and export customs declarations in the United Kingdom (CDS — Customs Declaration Service), Germany (ATLAS), and France (DOUANE), plus T1 Union Transit filings through NCTS and HS code classification. We also manage GVMS (Goods Vehicle Movement Service) in the UK, postponed VAT accounting, duty deferment accounts, and inward processing relief where applicable. All our partner customs agents maintain AEO (Authorised Economic Operator) status, which supports faster border processing.

Yes. We consolidate LCL (less-than-container-load) rail shipments and groupage road freight, allowing smaller shippers to access our network at competitive rates without needing to fill an entire container or truck. For rail freight, we consolidate cargo from multiple shippers into a shared container at the origin terminal. For road freight, we use established groupage networks across Europe. Minimum shipment sizes vary by lane — contact us with your cargo details and we will advise on the most cost-effective solution.

To give us the information we need to provide an accurate quote, please include: your origin city and country, your destination city and country, cargo commodity type (what is the product?), approximate weight and volume (kg and CBM), number of packages or pallets, any special requirements (temperature control, dangerous goods, oversized), and your preferred transit time or delivery date. We typically respond within 24 hours on business days (Monday–Friday, Hong Kong time).
